October is here!!

Can't believe how fast time is passing by..
Can't wait for the festivities to start!!
One of my favorite holidays. To dress as one of your favorite characters from a favorite movie or a chance to be creative and make your own costumes. This is when the Halloween party's invitations start coming in or Dia de Los Muertos events and there different cool events. Last year Dia de Los muertos we went to the museum Molaa in Long Beach. In Mexico Dia De Los muertos is celebrated Nov 1, and Nov 2nd is a Mexican celebration, is a day to celebrate, remember and prepare special foods in honor those who have departed. To me Dia de Los muertos is not only to remember lost ones but also to celebrate life. This year Molaa is having different Events, on October 22 This Dia De Los Muertos theme is "Poderosas para siempre: A celebration of women past & present." For this event you must be 21 and over. 8pm-12am General admission $45 dollars for Molaa member's admission is $36.00. Event features:
•Altar Viewing
•Dia De Los Muertos Exhibition
•Coffee bar by Mc Cafe
•Body art performance by David Gilmore.
•Face painting by Drop Dead Gorgeous
•Artisan marketplace

New Orleans

City of a million dreams they say, well I certainly witnessed the results of such dreams. Living amongst the people of New Orleans for the past 5 days, the recurrent perception was that destruction can be reimagined and made anew, you can kill the man but the spirit lives forever, and in New Orleans that calls for an endless celebration of life that inspires visitors like me to dream my life away from the illusion of reality and dance with voodoo queens, eat red beans, and play slot machines.....even if just for five days.
Here a few snapshots of my view of New Orleans.

THE BROAD

If you haven't heard or been to the Broad Museum well...your missing out!! This place can mesmerize you by exploring different art from old to new and odd art..
This place has so much art you would need another day to come back especially for their famous must see Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirrored Room! Yes! It's amazing!! It gets booked right away so I recommend to go in super early to get in. Trust me my boyfriend and I arrived at the museum around 7pm and it was already booked:(
so get your pretty butts there early. The Broad changes it's exhibits so it's never the same, you can check out their site for the latest and also to get your Free tickets! Yes it's Free! But it's always full so I recommend to get your tickets in advance to get a spot. They also have parking right next to the museum so no worry's about where you will be parking even though I recommend to get there early from your time slot because you know LA has crazy traffic.
Here are some photos we took. Hope you get a chance to check out the Broad especially if you like Art or simply want to see something different from the ordinary art you see everyday...well this is the place to check out.
Here is the link for more info and to get your advance tickets

THE GETTY VILLA

If you have yet to visit the Getty Villa, make your way there SOON!
To get advanced free tickets I recommend you go http://www.getty.edu/visit/villa/plan/
To get more information.

If you plan to visit Getty Villa, and The Getty
 at the same day....
Remember you pay once, and you can park twice on the same day!
Don't forget to get your ticket stamp on the first museum in the information desk.
Parking is $15 dollars.
I suggest to arrive to the first museum early because it does take all day two visit this two wonderful places and besides their 30 minutes away from each other..
We ended up just seeing one and we still did not see the whole Getty Villa.
Hopefully soon we can head out to The Getty Villa and The Getty to get the full experience <3
Stay tune for our next adventures..

Remember.. To live life to the fullest!
