Girls that kick ass~ Sophia Amoruso founder of Nasty Gal
I remember there was a time when I felt lost and confused. There were so many things going on in my life. I would not even know where to start, of course we all have that at one point in our lives. You know that saying "life can be like a roller coaster ride" Well.. sometimes that ride gets stuck and you don't know how long or how you will get out of it. Well.. There is a time when you're tired of feeling tired, angry, confused, and hopeless. Then.... all of sudden when that something, or someone comes in front of you and that light bulb lights up
Of course you have to make your own decisions and decide what's next for the good but at least you get some idea on what path to take.
I remember I was on the 2nd or 3rd date with Ramiro(My now boyfriend) and we decided to go to "The Grove". After we ate at Loteria Grill, we decided to check out Barnes and Noble. Initially we were in the music section since we both love music, then I decided to head out to the business section, I needed to be motivated, I wanted to find myself again, something that would change my life. Then.. I looked above the book shelf and that's when I saw a pink book called #Girlboss. The light at the end of the tunnel.
That's when I first learned about Sophia Amoruso and Nasty Gal. It opened my eyes again, while I was reading #Girlboss I felt my motivation come back and started to develop new ideas like this Maycrazylifestyle blog, and working on having new projects for Maycrazylifestyle. I told myself "Mayra your going to be all right"... "Be a fighter, be a dreamer, and kick some ass!!"
Like Sophia said in her book "Be your own idol".
I myself needed to stop the negativity in my head and focus on what I wanted to accomplish.

Sophia made Nasty Gal into a successful business by working her ass off! She is not someone that had wealthy parents, or the daughter of someone famous.. No, she was just a regular girl that made this kick ass vintage store called "Nasty Gal." To me it's like going to a candy store
it's not just one style it's all of the styles of clothes you can think of
I'm also in love with their different unique shoes.Yes, I can say I'm a super fan of the Nasty Gal brand because I found a store that I can shop for anything in one place and I cannot get tired of my collection of clothes, I can always wear it over and over again.
A few months ago on her #Girlboss tour I had the pleasure of meeting her in person. I was like 2-3 hours early and I got lucky to be one of the first persons in line. Score!!
Since #Girlboss, she has released a new, bigger, colorful, inspiring book..

Thanks to my amazing boyfriend, I have added Nasty Galaxy to my collection. One morning he woke me up and surprised me with Sophia Amoruso's new book. That was an awesome wake up call!
I love Sophia's new book, not only is the cover catchy to see but there is so much to read inside and check out. I have not seen it all but so far I can see the spirit of Nasty Gal brand is there for sure, her short essays about kick ass inspirational women from past to present, so many illustrations, and the latest scoop and advice of Sophia's past and present life. After my boyfriend handed this book to me, I could not wait to read all these stories and get lost in the Nasty Galaxy space.

Selena "The Queen Of Tex Mex"
For those of you that have not heard of Selena Quintanilla Perez.. I recommend you check out her story and hear her songs. She is known as "The queen of Tejano music". You might have heard her songs.. "bidi didi Bom Bom" or "Como La Flor". Her contributions to music and fashion made her one of the most celebrated Mexican-American entertainers in the 90's and still to this day she has influenced many Latin artist through her music.
Media outlets called her the "Tejano Maddona" for her clothing choices. I remember when I was a young girl I would dance to her music in front of a mirror and pretend to sing like her. Selena also had some awesome dance moves which is how I learned to dance Tex Mex and Cumbia.... oh how I miss those days.. The 90's 🙌🏾
When Selena would perform she would mesmerize you with her smile, natural beauty, and her voice. She was a natural performer and she was so full of life. After Selena's passing it was
heart breaking not only to her fans but her family. Later on, Selena's family decided to open their doors and release a movie of Selena's life and career, which starred Jennifer Lopez.
Selena still lives on in our hearts through her music, who can forget about Selena she is awesome!
On Aug. 31, 2016 hundreds of fans gathered to see Selena Quintanilla's wax figure unveiled at Madame Tussauds in Los Angeles, and now..her family Quintanilla is releasing a makeup line "Selena" in Mac stores! Hello Fall..well maybe not yet
But.. If you’re like me who doesn’t get cold, and when It’s fall you start missing summer, then maybe you would be interested in some of these looks. As for me, I like to show my legs.
I really don’t mind wearing long or short skirts, and besides, pants are not really my thing. It also depends where I’m going. If it’s a party, maybe I’ll wear a long or short dress, if I’m going to the grocery store, maybe some workout clothes. I tend to get easily busy, so I just throw something on that will not take me a long time to get ready.
I’ve been seeing a lot of online sites having swimsuits on sale so it’s perfect to buy right now. You can save money and save your swimsuits for next summer, or who knows maybe you can use it with a cute skirt you been having in your precious closet.
